SuperExploder is an audio boutique offering sound design, 5.1 surround and immersive (VR) mixing, casting, recording, and music composition for television, radio, film, and online content, in a comfortable, custom-designed facility in Chelsea, NYC. We’re home to industry leading mixers Jody Nazzaro, Ted Gannon, Ted Marcus and Brady Hearn. And we maintain a roster of established composers for original composition and scoring, as well as a custom stock music library. All under the direction of Sr. Producer Meredith Nazzaro.

Ted Gannon
Impassioned and cerebral musician Ted Gannon kicked off his sound design career collaborating with such top artists as Lenny Kravitz, Prince Paul and Wu Tang Clan as well as working on television shows such as “Beavis and Butthead.” He began building his diverse portfolio as a mixer/sound designer/composer for Manhattan facilities Subvoyant and Bionic. As the original ‘SuperExploder,’ he dishes aural splendor for such diverse clients as USA, VH1, truTV as well as Food Network, Hachette, Cheerios, Luvs, Nike, Puma, Axe, Lysol, Selson Blue and Trix. He continues to tour internationally, while holding down the senior composer/sound designer/mixer positions at SuperExploder. A highly diversified musician, Gannon is skilled on a wide range of instruments including the shakuhacki (Japanese bamboo flute), played his first CBGBs gig at age 15 and made his vocal debut on the first ever Horror-Core hip hop single “Diary Of A Madman” by Gravediggaz.
Jody Nazzaro
Award-winning veteran sound designer/mixer/pilot/foodie Jody Nazzaro joined SuperExploder in early 2012 as one of the industry’s most sought after mixers. Dabbling in higher voltage as an electrician’s apprentice in his early years, he was shocked to realize that lower voltage audio was his calling. His creativity and obsessive attention to detail is what makes his original sound design and mixing style one of a kind. Jody’s expertise spans multiple platforms including long form TV, feature length films as well as documentaries, promos and commercials for Television and Cinema. Current clients include: Publicis, The Vault, 22 Squared, DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, USA, A&E, Spike TV, MTV, TruTV and Comedy Central. He has lent his mixing and sound design talents to spots for top brands such as Lancôme, Garnier, The Daily Show, ESPN, Publix, Amstel Light, Audi and Mercedes. Most recently, he crafted the audio for the award-winning documentary on Autism, “I Want To Say.” When Jody’s not pushing faders for his clients, he’s usually pushing the throttle in a Cessna at 5000 feet.
Ted Marcus
Ted Marcus’s career began over two decades ago at National Video Center, where he learned the craft of mixing and sound design. After four years with National, Ted moved to Clack Sound Studios, known for its integral role in the launch of MTV. Ted was then tapped by MTV’s On Air Promos department to develop an in-house audio facility right in the heart of the network's Times Square headquarters. Over the next six years he worked on projects ranging from channel image and design spots to episodic promotions across all MTV brands. In 2005 Ted mixed the Emmy winning film “Translating Genocide: Three Students Journey to Sudan” which was produced in response to the crisis in Darfur. Later that year while mixing a documentary about seminal indie rockers the Meat Puppets, Ted was asked to join the band as their new drummer. For the next four years he recorded two full-length albums and embarked on national and international tours. In 2010 Ted joined Ultrabland. Ted’s collaborations with HBO, Cinemax, FX, NatGeo and others have earned numerous Emmys, PromaxBDA, New York Festivals, and CTAM Mark Awards.
Brady Hearn
A unique and versatile composer, Brady Hearn takes a modern approach to film music and sound design, combining his knowledge of the classical arts with a modern appreciation for dramatic soundscapes and sound design. Brady’s array of experience as a composer spans from scoring PBS documentaries to orchestrating the Sundance award winning film “Sleepwalk With Me”. Brady’s music has been used on Dateline NBC, Katie Couric, NY Med, Impractical Jokers, Say Yes To The Dress, OWN network, E! news, What Not To Wear, as well as over a dozen independent films. As a concert composer Brady has had works commissioned and performed by orchestras around the country and currently conducts and arranges for the Larceny Chamber Orchestra, which performs at LPR in Manhattan.
A graduate of Manhattan School of Music, Brady is the winner of the 2013 Camp Kuleshov Sound Design Award, a recipient of the Fran Morgenstern Davis Award presented to him by the ASCAP foundation, and was one of the featured composers in ASCAP’s Columbia University Film Scoring Workshop in both 2011 and 2013.
Meredith Nazzaro
Industry veteran Meredith Nazzaro joined SuperExploder in early 2015. With over a decade of experience in post production, she has worked extensively across broadcast promotions and commercials, collaborating with leading television networks and top ad agencies. As Senior Producer, she oversees all mixing, sound design and original music composition projects at SuperExploder. She got her start in the post industry at NYC post shop Bionic. She spent 8 years there producing a wide range of network broadcast projects for the likes of USA Network, SyFy, Spike and The Food Network. She moved on to join audioEngine as Executive Producer, leading a team of seasoned mixers, composers and sound designers on top commercial projects, including several Budweiser Super Bowl ads. When she's not at the studio, she spends her time in Hoboken with her husband (you might have heard of him) and sons, Elliott and Cole.
